BUTTER CREAM
Makes about 625g (1 1/4lb)
Ingredients |
175g (6oz) unsalted butter, softened |
2-3 tbsp. milk |
1 tsp vanilla essence |
450g (1lb) icing (confectioner’s) sugar, sifted |
- Place the softened butter, milk and essence into a mixer.
- Add the icing sugar a little at a time, mixing on medium speed, until light, fluffy and pale in colour.
- Store in an airtight container and use within 10 days.
- Bring to room temperature and beat again before use.
